In March 2012 I ran a yoga retreat at beautiful Kilnhanger in Surrey. We had a wonderful time doing lots of yoga asana and relaxing in the sunshine. I will certainly be running more retreats in the future – please feel free to contact me if you’re interested. In the meantime, the info below will give you some background about the weekend’s activities.
This spring weekend was a relaxed and fun escape from the city giving us time to reconnect to ourselves, our practice and our breath.
The venue for the weekend was lovely Kilnhanger in Surrey. It’s a beautiful spot set in woodland above the Surrey hills and the well equipped yoga space is just gorgeous. There was plenty of free time to explore the countryside when we weren’t in class. Kilnhanger is located close to Guildford, so it’s very easy to reach from London by train.
Our schedule began with a slower-paced class before a delicious vegetarian dinner on the Friday evening. On Saturday we began with early morning pranayama and meditation before a dynamic class to really sweat out any remaining tension from our busy weeks. On the Saturday evening we did a restorative practice to wind down before another early morning class on the Sunday. We headed back to London refreshed and rejuvenated after lunch on Sunday.
